Matzah stuffing (for turkey) - savta's recipe
Ricetta di
10 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
6 cups matzah farfel (approx 16 oz box)
1 cup cold water
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 well beaten eggs
2 Tablespoons minced parsley
Preparazione → 20 min

1. Melt fat (butter) in a large pot on the stove. Saute in celery and onion (5 minutes)
2. Poor water into farfel and mix together (add water if necessary)
3. Add salt and pepper
4. Add farfel mixture to pot (stir for 5 min)
5. Remove from heat
6. Add some of mixture to beaten eggs
7. Combine with rest of stuffing
8. Add parsley -- toss well
9. Let cool before stuffing in turkey (cool overnight in fridge)
