Jenn's stuffed peppers
Ricetta di
5 bell peppers
1 white onion
1 lb hamburger meat (90/10)
2 6oz cans of Hunt's Basil, Garlic & Oregano tomato paste
1 8oz can of Hunt's Basil, Garlic, & Oregano tomato sauce
2 eggs
12-15 Saltines crackers
Panko Bread Crumbs
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Preparazione → 20 min
Cottura → 60 min
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Wash green peppers and cut the tops off. Clean out the seeds and middle part and set 4 peppers in a baking sheet/pan.
3. Dice up 1/2-3/4 of white onion and dice up 1 green pepper and throw into bowl. Place the hamburger meat in the bowl and mix up with peppers/onions.
4. Add to the mixture 2 eggs, 1 can of tomato paste, 1 can of tomato sauce and stir together.
5. Crunch 12-15 crackers with hands into bowl and add a couple of sprinkles of panko bread crumbs and stir until an even mixture.
6. Add tad of salt, pepper and garlic powder for taste.
7. Place the mixture into the peppers until stuffed completely. Place in oven for 30 minutes. Remove peppers and spread the other can of tomato paste on top of peppers and cook for another 30 minutes.
