How to get to heaven

1. 1. I must pray
Both night and day

2. 2. Before I eat,
I must entreat
That God would bless
To me my meat.

3. 3. I must not play
On God’s own day,
But I must hear
His word in fear.

4. 4. It is a sin
To steal a pin,
Mush more to steal
A greater thing.

5. 5. I’ll beg my bread
From door to door,
Rather than steal
My neighbor’s store.

6. 6. I must work,
And I must pray,

7. 7. That God will fee
Me, day by day.

8. 8. All honest labour
God will bless;
Let me not live
In idleness.

9. 9. I must not kill
A little fly:
It is an act
Of cruelty.

10. 10. I must not lie,
I must not feign,
I must not take
God’s name in vain.

11. 11. It must not be
Or rude or wide;
I must not be
A naughty child.

12. 12. I must not speak
Of others ill,
But ever bear
To all good will.

13. 13. I’d better die
Than tell a lie,
Lest I be lost
Eternally:

14. 14. Nor may my tongue
Say what is wrong;
I must not sin
A word to win.

15. 15. In the Bible
I am to read
And trust in God
In all my need;

16. 16. For Christ alone
My soul can save
And raise my body
From the grave.

17. 17. O! blessed Savior,
Take my heart,
And let not me
From thee depart.

18. 18. Lord, grant that I
In faith my die
And live with thee
Above the sky

19. 19. Repeat steps 1 through 18 daily.
