Buttermilk biscuits recipe
Ricetta di4 cups self rising flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup COLD unsalted butter: cut into tiny pieces
1/3 cup COLD vegetable shortening, cut into cubes
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup melted butter
1. *Make sure butter and buttermilk is cold*
2. 1. Preheat oven to 400*. Line (2) baking sheets with parchment paper, and set aside.
3. 2. In A bowl, add cold butters, and the dry Ingredients. Use hands, and mix to combine the butters are mixed through.
4. 3.Add buttermilk, little at a time, while pulling the dough together with hands.
5. 4.When done, flour table, put dough on it, and knead it a little.
6. 5.Take a rolling pin, and roll out.
7. 6.Take some flour, dip your biscuit cutter in the flour, and cut on dough.
8. 7.Take a pan, with parchment paper, brush the top biscuit with melted butter.
9. 8. Put in oven, 400* for 20 mins till lightly golden brown.
