Vegetable Masala Pulav of Kitchen Snippets - Recipefy

Basmati Rice-1 1/2 cup soaked for 15 mints
Ginger-1 tspn crushed
Garlic-1 tspn crushed
Green chillies-2 sliced
Potato-1 cut into small cubes
Carrot-1 cut into small cubes
Green peas-1/4 cup soaked in water overnight
Tomato-1 small
Cauliflower-1/4 cup ,cut into small florets
Whole masala-1 small piece cinnamon,1 cardamom,2 cloves
Garam masala powder-3/4 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Ghee-2 tblpsn
Salt
Spring onion-for garnishing

1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and splutter the whole masala.Add ginger,garlic and green chillies and saute till the raw smell goes.Add sliced onions and saute till they turn light brown.Now add in all the vegetables and saute for few seconds.Add soaked and drained rice to it ,saute it carefully for fewmore mints.Then add garam masala powder,turmeric powder and enough salt to it.Add 2 cups of water,mix well and cover the cooker.Cook in high flame for 1 whistle.Then simmer the flame to lowest and cook for another 10 mints.

2. Open the cooker and gently fluff the pulav.Transfer to a serving plate.Garnish with spring onion and serve hot with pappad.
