Veg momos
Recipe by
All purpose flour/maida-1 cup
Warm Water
Salt
For filling
Carrot-1 grated
Capsicum-5 tblspn chopped finely
Onion-2 tblspn
Ginger-1 tspn chopped
Garlic-1 pode chopped
Soy sauce-1 tspn
Chilli sauce-1 tspn
Salt
1. In a deep bowl,add all purpose flour,sprinkle enough salt and mix well.Then add water carefully to make a soft dough.Cover the dough with a plastic wrap or cloth.Keep for 30 mints.
2. For filling.
3. Heat oil in a pan add chooped onions,ginger and capsicum.Add enough salt and saute for 1 mint.Then add grated carrot ,mix well,cover and cook for 2-3 mints in low flame.Finally add soy sauce and chilli sauce.Mix well and remove from fire.Let it cool.
4. For making momos.
5. Divide the dough into 10 small balls.Take one ball at a time and roll it into small disc.The edges should be thin and the center should be of medium thickness.For this ,press the edges of the disc using your roller.(see video ).
Then place some filling in the center and fold carefully to make momos (see video ).Then pinch the edges on the top.Repeat the process with all the dough balls.
Place the momos in a steamer and cook for 10 mints.Serve hot with chilli sauce.
