Slider mini burgers

2 lbs of ground beef or turkey
1 (1.25 oz) envelope onion soup mix
(can also use Ranch dip package)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
24 slider or dinner rolls, split
1/2 cup sliced pickles (optional)

Prep. Time → 10 min

Cook Time → 30 min

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cover a baking sheet or shallow pan with foil; spray with cooking spray.

2. Mix together the ground beef or turkey and onion soup mix in a large skillet; cook and stir over medium-high heat until meat is crumbly, even browned and no longer pink. Drain and discard any excess grease or liquid. Remove from heat. Stir mayonnaise and Cheddar cheese into the ground meat mixture.

3. Lay the bottoms of the dinner/slider rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the cheese and meat mixture on the bottom half of each roll. Replace the tops. Cover with a sheet of aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray.

4. Bake in a preheated oven until the burgers are heated through and cheese melts, about 30 minutes, Serve with sliced pickles. (I forgot to bring mine to the luncheon!)

If you want to make a smaller batch, be sure to shake the onion soup mix to be sure the powder and the dried onions are equally mixed -- otherwise it is easy to cut in half! I forgot the pickles, but they would add more flavor if you desire.
