Peach cobbler

The Registrar at LeTourneau gave this recipe to me. 29 oz. can of sliced peaches 5 slices of bread 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon, optional 2 Tbsp. flour 1 egg, beaten 1 stick margarine, melted

1. Preheat oven to 350. Drain peaches. Place in bottom of greased 8” square baking dish. Cut crust off bread and cut each slice into five strips. Place on top of peaches. Melt margarine. Beat egg. Mix sugar, flour, egg and melted margarine together thoroughly. Pour over bread strips. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with Blue Bell Homemade vanilla ice cream.
