Mushroom Peas Masala of Kitchen Snippets - Recipefy

Mushroom-1 cup cut into pieces
Peas-1 cup cooked with salt

To roast and grind

Onion-1 small sliced
Ginger-1 tspn chopped
Garlic-1 tspn chopped
Whole masala-2cardamom,1 small piece cinnamon,4 cloves
Dry red chillies-4
Coriander seeds-1 tspn
Fennel seeds-1/4 tspn

For masala

Musatrd seeds-1/4 tspn
Onion-1 sliced
Green chillies-2 sliced
Tomato-1 chopped
Red chilli powder-1 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Coriander powder-2 tspn
Curry leaves
Salt
Oil

1. Heat 2 tspn oil in a pan splutter whole masala.Then add sliced onions and saute till the onions become transparent.Then add ginger,garlic,dry red chilli,corinader seeds and fennel seeds.Saute till the raw smell goes.Remove from fire and let it cool down.Grind the onion mixture to a smooth paste by adding little water.

3. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add sliced onion.Saute till the onions become golden brown.Then add green chillies and chopped tomato.Cook till tomatoes become soft.Then add the ground paste ( onion paste ) to this and saute in low flame for 1 more mint.Then add mushroom and cooked peas ..Add 1/4 cup of water if the gravy is too thick.Mix well,sprinkle enough salt,add curry leaves. and cover and cook in medium flame for about 10-15 mints.
Remove from fire and serve hot.

4. Perfect side dish for roti/chapathi and appam.
