Murgh Tikka Masala of Kitchen Snippets - Recipefy

Boneless chicken-1/2 kg ( cut into cubes )

For marination

Ginger -garlic paste-2 tspn
Yogurt-2 tblspn
Lime juice-1 tspn
Paprika/kashmiri chiili powder-1/2 tspn
Salt

For masala

Onion-2 big chopped
Tomato-3 big chopped
Ginger-2 pieces
Garlic-5-6 cloves
Garama masala-1 tspn
Kashmiri chilli powder-1 tspn
Heavy cream-2 tblspn ( notes )
Oil-4-5 tblspn
Salt

1. Marinate the chicken pieces with ingredients listed under "for marination " for 30 mints

2. Heat 2 tblspn oil in pan and the marinated chicken pieces.Saute ,cover and cook in high flame.
Cook it all the water that oozes out from the chicken dries up.
Transfer the chicken pieces to a bowl

3. In the same pan add chopped onion,ginger and garlic.saute well till the raw smell goes.When onions become transparent ( they shouldn't turn golden brown ) add chopped tomatoes.Stir well till tomatoes become soft.
Remove from stove and grind the mixture into a fine paste.Add little water if necessary.

4. Heat 21 tblpsn oil in a pan and add grinded paste to it.Saute continuously till the paste thickens. Then add garam masala and chilli powder.Mix well.

5. Add chicken pieces to it .Mix well.Sprinkle enough salt,cover and cook in low flame.

6. When the chicken is cooked,add fresh cream and remove from stove.

7. Notes: Fresh cream gives a nice texture and taste to the gravy but its optional.
Instead of cooking the marinated chicken pieces in pan, you can also broil them in oven.Cook them in 180 degree F.
