7 Cups Milk
2/3 Cup Molasses
6 Tablespoons Yellow Cornmeal
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Ginger
2 Eggs, beaten
2 Tablespoons Butter

1. Preheat oven to 300º F.
Heat six cups of milk and cornmeal in saucepan until hot.
Add molasses, stirring constantly until thick.
Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients reserving one cup of cold milk. Mix thoroughly.
Pour mixture into buttered baking dish.
Cook in oven for 30 minutes.
Add one cup of milk. Do not stir.
Cook for two more hours.
Serve warm with ice cream of whipped cream.
