Grandmother’s cornbread

2 cups buttermilk 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. sugar 4 Tbsp. Bacon grease 2 cups yellow cornmeal 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 2 Tbsp. flour

1. Mix all ingredients. In a oven safe skillet, put a small amount of bacon grease and sprinkle a little cornmeal & flour, heat in oven till hot. Pour cornbread mixture into hot skillet and bake at 425 for 30 minutes or until brown.
