Fast fixin' fruit n' cake
Recipe by
1 package Deluxe white or Yellow Cake Mix
1/2 cup water
1 can (20-23 oz) of your favorite pie filling (cherry, apple, blueberry, peach, strawberry, lemon, etc.)
1/4 cup canola oil
2 eggs
Prep. Time → 10 minutes min
Cook Time → 40-50 minutes min
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Pour oil into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch glass pan and tilt pan to cover the bottom.
3. Put cake mix, eggs, and water into pan and stir with a fork or spoon until well blended (about 2 minutes)
4. Scrape sides and spread batter evenly in pan.
5. Spoon the pie filling onto batter; use a fork to fold into batter just enough to create a marbled effect.
6. Bake for 40-50 minutes until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
7. Cooled cake may be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
8. Use a knife to loosen the cake from sides; cut and serve directly from pan.
