Chole masala/Channa masala of Kitchen Snippets - Recipefy

Chole/Channa/White chick peas-1 cup( cooked with salt )
Onion-1 chopped
Tomato-1 big chopped
Ginger-1 tspn
Garlic-1 tspn
Green chillies-2
Red chilli powder-1 1/2 tspn
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Coriander powder-1 tspn
Dry mango powder/amchur powder-1/4-1/2 tspn
Kashuri methi powder-1/4 tspn
Garam masala-1/2 tspn
Salt
oil
Coriander leaves-chopped handful

1. Heat oil in pan and add chopped onions.Saute till they turn light brown.Add ginger,garlic and green chillies and saute till the raw smell goes.Then add in chopped tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes become soft.Then add all the masala powders.Stir well for 1 mint in medium flame.Then add cooked channa/chick peas.Mix well and add 1/4 cup of water.Sprinkle enough salt,add coriander leaves and cover and cook for 5 mints.Remove from fire and serve.

2. Notes: dry mango powder and kasuri methi are available in all Indian grocery stores.

3. Instead of these masala powders you can also use ready made channa masala available in market.
