Breakfast smoothie
Recipe by2 bananas (ripe preferred)
1 apple
3/4 - 1 cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)
1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice (optional, but this adds a brightness to each sip)
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds (optional)
1/2 tablespoon flax seed oil or another oil like hemp or evo (optional)
2 tablespoons protein power (optional)
1 cup of ice
*, a straw is nice to have too :)
Prep. Time → 5 min
Cook Time → 5 min
1. cut the apple into 1 inch by 1 inch pieces and cutting around the core
2. with the blender off add: banana and apple pieces
3. add blueberries
4. add lime/lemon juice
5. add some water (about 1/4 cup)
6. blend for a few minutes. You may need to add more water if the mixture is too thick.
7. with the blender preferably on (but off is okay too) ...
8. add ground flax seeds
9. add flax see oil
10. add the ice
11. Tips
customize to the right texture:
if it's too thick, you can add water
if it's too thin, you can add ice
it it needs to be sweeter, you can add a half banana
soak or clean the blender right away - blueberry skin easily sticks
