Beetroot Masala Dosa of Kitchen Snippets - Recipefy

1For masala

Beetroot-1 medium
Potato-2 medium
Carrot-1
Onion-1 cut into cubes
Ginger-1 tspn
Garlic-1 tspn
Green chillies-2
Red chilli powder-1/4-1/2 tspn( adjust according to your spice level)
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Urad dal-1/2 tspn
Mustard seeds-1/4 tspn
Curry leaves
Oil

2.Dosa batter-2 cups

1. Cut beetroot,carrot and potatoes into big pieces and pressure cook them by adding 1/4 cup water and little salt( for upto 4 whistles ).Once cooked slightly
mash them using an wooden spoon( still there should be some pieces to bite so don't mash completely )

2. Prepare masala

3. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.Add urad dal and saute till it turns to light brown .Then add chopped onion,ginger ,garlic and green chillies.Saute till the onions turn transparent.Then add the mashed vegetables.Sprinkle red cilli powder,turmeric powder ,curry leaves and salt.Add 1/4 cup water,mix well and cook for 2-3 mints till the water dries up.

4. Make dosa

Heat a flat thawa and drizzle little oil in it.When the tawa becomes hot,reduce the flame to medium.Then pour a laddle full of batter into the tawa ans spread in circles to make thin and big dosa.Drizzle little more oil on the top and sides of the dosa.When the dosa is brown on one side, remove from fire.( no need to flip it,as the dosa need not be cooked on both sides)

6. Then put one spoon full of masala on the dosa( with brown side down ).Fold the dosa from both sides to make a roll.

7. Enjoy with chutney
