1. First off this is an Ina Garten Recipe. While Ina is a queen and I love her, her recipes, especially for baking, are extremely finicky. That being said, this recipe is worth the trouble of using extra large eggs and room temperature everything. *****also Sift all the dry ingredients

2. Set oven to 350 degrees

3. combine all the wet ingredients with the exception of the Hot Coffee in one Bowl

4. Sift the dry ingredients into a mixer on low speed until combined

5. With the mixer still on low, slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry

6. When all is combined add the hot coffee to the mix

7. Add the mix into two 8 x 2 inch round buttered cake pans (it says to line the pans with parchment paper but I have done it with and without, without a problem)

8. Cook for 35 - 40 mins in 350 degrees oven

9. Frosting:
Melt Chocolate and let cool

10. With an electric mixer on medium, beat the butter for 3 minutes

11. add yoke and Vanilla and beat for 3 more Minutes

12. turn mixer to low and add confectioners sugar slowly then change to medium speed

13. dissolve Coffe powder in 2 teaspoons of hot tap water and with the mixer on low add the coffee and cool chocolate

14. When the cake cools ice the cake
